Choose a training format

The courses at the Banking Academy are delivered in one of the following ways:

1. As, Client Specific Solutions ,Scheduled Open Programmes in the following formats:

2. As Tailored In-house Training Programmes, tailored to your individual bank’s unique requirements in one of the following formats:

Scheduled Open Programmes
These are the generic open programmes that any interested professional in the financial services industry can attend. These are delivered in one of several formats.
 
• Subject Matter Conferences. The subject matter conference features several subject matter experts with skills in the different areas of the industry as speakers. This format is usually used for major topics affecting the industry today. As these are run on annual basis, they are the best way to update the industry with latest developments, while still providing a good primer for delegates who are new to the subject matter.
 
• Small Group Training and Workshops. These are intensive training workshops anchored by one or two subject matter experts. The focus includes group exercises, case studies and application of methodologies.
 
• Banking Training School. These are generic programmes designed for senior bankers from emerging market countries like China, Vietnam, the Indian sub-continent as well as from Africa and the Middle East. These programmes are designed to provide board level and senior management talent at banks in these countries with an overview of the range of tactical skills that they will need to succeed in a liberalised financial services industry.

Client Specific Solutions and Training Services
Our tailored in-housed training programmes can be delivered in one of several ways to suit your individual bank's unique requirements.
 
• On-site Client Specific Training.Any of our scheduled Open Training programmes can be reconfigured and scheduled into Topical Training conducted in-house at your bank. Such an approach is valuable for your bank because they are:
Cost-effective, as we provide such training for numbers exceeding 15 delegates, who will not need to travel to be trained.
Highly focused to the needs in your bank, as the trainer is able to pay special attention to areas that are unique to your bank or market.
Team-based, as delegates will be learning from the trainer as well as from each other as class discussions focus freely on your bank's specific needs.
Consultative, as the trainer will not just be a content specialist but also a consultant who can provide insights into the needs at you bank in the subject matter being discussed.

• Outsourced Training Services.We work very closely with the director of training at your financial institution to plan and execute entire training programmes. By outsourcing your training capability to us, you will have access to our global faculty of independent experts from whom to draw teaching resources and design programmes that embody global best practices tailored to your bank's needs.
 
• Capacity Training Programmes. Capacity training programmes are designed to mobilise entire organisations or departments to a defined skill level over a period of time. This is achieved through train-the-trainer element, conducting random audit and the issuance of an audit report for each module to the management.
 
• Strategic Reviews Programmes. These are highly developed programmes that are designed and delivered by our Research division. These programmes, which are delivered as part of a strategic review of a bank's business and operational capability in a specific subject matter, includes instructions, GAP analysis as well as briefings packaged into a generic learning programme for the senior managers at the bank.
