Effective Design & Implementation of Structured Products |
| When & Where |
20-21 August 2008, Prince Hotel Kuala Lumpur |
An intensive 2-day program covering strategic aspects to design, construct and price interest rate, equity, fx & commodity derivative structures |
About the
Workshop
A growing number of Asian investors are turning to structured products as a means of diversifying their portfolios. With hundreds of products
launched every month across the globe, it is increasingly diffi cult for these investors to keep track of the latest market offerings.
The investment market is a dynamic arena and investor expectations are high. Simplistic investment strategies often do not fulfi ll expectations.
Investors want more. They want to achieve capital protection, income protection, higher returns and exposure to a wider variety of asset classes.
Structured products are the answer. In fact, no other area of the financial services industry has been experiencing the same explosive growth
over the last twelve months. Exponential growth is also expected for the next twelve months with predictions that investment in the asset class
will treble by 2008. The number of fi nancial institutions turning to structured products to achieve the results and profi ts they desire is increasing.
However, the exact nature, structure and applications of these instruments can be confusing and complex.
To address this issue, the Banking Academy has developed a comprehensive training programme, which will help participants understand market
conventions and their applications thereby mastering product pricing characteristics, risk sensitivities, marketing challenges & gain practical
skills to design and price equity, fx, commodity and interest rate derivative structures along with deconstructing, analysing and valuing existing
product structures. This program will provide participants with the knowledge and skills to solve complex fi nancial problems through the practical
implementation of structured product techniques.
